Dr. Ramachandran Narayana Menon obtained MBBS (1997) from Government Medical College –Thrissur, MS (General Surgery) from Government Medical College – Madurai (2001), DNB – Gen Surgery in 2002 and DNB in Surgical Gastro in 2009.

In 2012, he underwent Senior Clinical Fellowship in the multiorgan transplant unit of Cambridge University hospitals – UK and gained experience in various aspects of patient care of liver, pancreas, small bowel and multivisceral transplantation.

Currently, he is working as Clinical Associate Professor in Dept of GI, Vascular and Solid Organ Transplant unit at Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences, Kochi. He is actively involved in liver transplant programme since its inception in the department. He is also one of the instrumental persons involved in the pancreas-kidney and small bowel transplant programme. He had training in robotic liver donor surgery from Severance Hospital – Seoul in 2018 and is currently one of the key persons involved in the live donor robotic surgery.

• Robotic surgery (Colo-rectal and HPB surgeries)
