About Dr. Sunil Rajendran
Did his basic medical degree (MBBS- 1997) and Post-Graduation (MS (General Surgery) -2002 from Calicut and Govt Medical Colleges, one of the most prestigious medical schools in the state of Kerala, India. He obtained Diplomate of National Board (DNB) in the year 2005. Obtained Fellowship in Vascular Surgery from Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute of Medical Sciences, Thiruvanthapuram, Kerala, India in 2005. He was admitted as a Member of Royal College of Surgeon’s of Edinburgh in 2006. He obtained advanced training in Vascular Surgery at Augusta Hospital, Dusseldorf, Germany (2006) and St.James’s Hospital, Dublin, Ireland (2008). He obtained ChM in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery from University of Edinburgh, in 2019.
He has held following positions in Vascular Surgery since 2006. Associate Professor, MES Medical College, Perinthalmanna, Kerala, India. Visiting consultant in Vascular Surgery at Aster MIMS and IQRAA hospitals, Kozhikode, Kerala, India.
He is currently the Assistant Editor of Indian Journal of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery.

My mother was having lots of trouble with vericose veins for years, including a wound that comes in and go. There was lot of discomfort walking too and the color of the skin around was dark. We had a research and found Dr Sunil Rajendran an expert Vascular surgeon at Calicut who is at Starcare and also at MIMS hospital very famous in treating these patients suffering from all levels of difficulty.
Friends of mine in Cochin, Calicut and Kannur also highly recommended Dr Sunil. After careful evaluation by the doctor my mother was advised that Laser treatment would be the one that will provide the best outcome. The process was best explained to us in a way we could understand. As was the advise, laser treatment was done, it was a day procedure, morning we reached the hospital and by evening we reached back home ! Its been more than a month now and mother has recovered so very well, with a feel good factor coming back on her legs that was absent for years ! We are grateful to Dr Sunil and the team in providing our mother the best treatment, care and support .
